Home      Rear Conversion

This is where it all started - A small rear kitchen unit that could be removed if so desired, but when in place needed to compliment the design of the Bongo and fit in such a way that it was rock solid and looked like it was meant to be there.
The Kitchen unit is fitted with a stainless steel smev combination sink and 2 burner hob with push button ignition. Fresh water and waste or contained in the first cupboard and pumped via a 12v tap / pump to the sink.
The middle cupboard has a gas locker in the lower half which is aluminium lined, and vented through the vehicle floor. Above it is a shelf and the 3rd door has both an upper and lower shelf for storage.
As with all our units, we only use genuine Vohringer board from Germany, and we use this for every single part of construction.
Proper Reimo fittings are used for doors and a variety of plastic edge trim is used to finish panels.

This kitchen unit can be used on its own or with a table (£750+VAT)

However a variety of add ons can turn you Bongo into a well specced camper with a thorough rear conversion.

The wardrobe (large door) and 3 shelves  behind the long door sits on top of a wider unit. This wider unit has a lift up flap allowing ample storage in the front lower half, and a useful sitting position for cooking etc.
The rear of the lower unit (not in view) has a cuboard that can house a standard small portapotti.
The seat is shown in the rear facing position making the camper more user friendly from the rear.
In addition to the elevating roof bedroom, 2 can sleep on the seats when they are folded.
This set up as shown with kitchen, wardrobe and base unit plus table can be supplied for £1400 Fitted £1500.(+VAT)

A variation on the rear kitchen (this time shown in cherry finish), is the rear conversion with fridge. A compressor fridge is located above the portapotti storage cupboard and above it the eletrics control unit - here shown as a zig unit, but a combined 240v/12v PMS unit is mostly used nowadays.
Overhead lockers continue from the fridge unit to behind the drivers seat.
The kitchen unit is exactly the same as before.
You can also just see an underseat drawer unit fitted to the bench seat.
This arrangement of units can be supplied for DIY fitting - please phone for price, but as fitted, they involve the refiiting of modified rails and runners to allow the seat to slide and operate whether fowards or rear facing.
If we were fitting this conversion for you we would insulate behind the main side panels whilst running all the wiring for the 240 sockets and 12v charging circuit. We fit a heavy duty leisure battery and 100 amp self switching split charge relay together with laminated instructions as to how to operate the electrics and which fuses we have added etc.
Fully fitted this would be £3300.(+VAT)
